The Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 compliance standard – established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) – evaluates a service organization's internal controls and assesses how effectively they protect customer data. SOC 2 certification can only be achieved when every member of a company places a high priority on security and diligently follows every step leading up to the audit.

The Type II report provides an overview of the robustness of a service organization’s system and the suitability of its design and operating effectiveness of controls across all teams.
